Movie monsters are a reflection of our collective unconscious. They hunt and thrills us in scores of shapes. Since becoming a staple of our cultural stories from the first camp fires.
Monster stories taps in to our reptile brain to remind us that evil exists. That the unknown are dangerous, that ‘here be monsters’. They can deliver us catharsis by allowing us to define ourselves in opposition to the monstrous.
